Court Camera Recording

If your court has a mounted camera, use the directions posted on-site to activate the recording.

  • Record actual gameplay only—no warm-ups or drills.
  • Max recording time: 20 minutes per video
  • Minimum 1080p at 30fps is required for accurate ratings.
  • For longer sessions, trim and upload each match separately.
  • Copy and paste the video links into the entry form.
  • Multiple video links allowed


OR

Self Recording Your Match

  • Record actual gameplay only—no warm-ups or drills.
  • Max recording time: 20 minutes per video
  • Minimum 1080p at 30fps is required for accurate ratings.
  • For longer sessions, trim and upload each match separately.
  • Upload the video into the entry form.
  • Multiple video Uploads allowed


What You Need

  • A smartphone or camera
  • A tripod, fence mount, or stable platform
  • Clear view of the entire court
  • Access to your VAIR account
  • Good lighting and steady recording conditions


Video Requirements


Game Format

  • Must be a singles or doubles match with valid serve and rally structure.
  • Warmups, incomplete games, or practice drills are not allowed.
  • Focus on capturing actual gameplay only from start to finish.
  • Max recording time: 20 minutes per video
  • Minimum 1080p at 30fps is required for accurate tracking.
  • For longer sessions, trim and upload each match separately.


Orientation

  • Record in landscape mode only.
  • Portrait videos will not be processed.

Camera Setup Placement

  • Place your camera behind the baseline at one end of the court, centered.
  • Mount the camera at a height of at least 8 feet (2.5 meters).
  • Use a tripod, fence post, or poleno handheld recordings.
  • Frame the entire court from baseline to baseline, including the net and all players.
  • No part of the court should be cut off or obscured.
  • Avoid zooming. Use a wide-angle lens if possible.
  • Ensure the netline and opposite baseline are not at the same height in the frame.

💡 Tip: If outdoors, position the camera to avoid direct sunlight into the lens.
